Kilian Banner
Wuerzburg, 1266

Under this banner of St. Kilian, which was carried on its own flag carriage, the army of Wuerzburgers defeated the Counts of Henneberg and Castell in the battle of 1266 near Kitzingen. The Kilian flag is today kept in the Fuerstenbau Museum (the east wing of the castle), the upper storey of which is dedicated to the history of Wuerzburg.
